This is Your Time in History
Dear friend of First Love Fellowship:
Just like any other ministry, First Love Fellowship came into 2020 with great expectations and plans for the coming year. We were ready to take the world by storm by bringing the gospel to the lost, healing to broken hearts, and helping to spread God’s love to the “least of these.” By God’s grace, we were able to accomplish all of these things, but it didn’t look anything like what we expected. The historic challenges that were to come would reveal more than ever, that THIS IS OUR TIME.
Soon after the year began, COVID-19 pandemic hit – and it hit hard. Businesses were closed, mask mandates came into effect, and school was cancelled, and churches were shut down. Imagine what it’s like to start a church, only to have to shut it down immediately! Still, God’s work continued, and many benefitted from our moving forward. While we were not able to fulfill all of our plans for 2020, God gave us new opportunities to serve Him in the midst of pandemic, political upheaval, economic uncertainty, and the concerns that come with an uncertain future. The critical times demanded that we look outward, and not inward.
In 2020, First Love Fellowship has been able to contribute to organizations such as Warrior’s Refuge, Angel Against Trafficking, Deliver Hope Uganda (Orphanage), Night Light Tulsa, and several other charitable organizations. Through financial contributions, and volunteer work, we fed the hungry, clothed those in need, helped to bring counsel to individuals and families in crisis, offered rental assistance to families in need, and offered support to those who are currently suffering on the streets of Tulsa. Your timely contributions helped make that happen. We are eternally grateful for all you have done. But, the mission must continue.
This past year has taught me that First Love Fellowship is much more than a house church network. Our time has come to be the church—not just to have church. We are joining together people of like, precious faith to do the things that are important to Jesus. Your continued contributions will help us to face the uncertainties of 2021 from a position of strength. In the coming year, we plan to establish more churches, and disciple more people into the love of Christ. Also, we are starting First Love Fellowship Church Online as a new church plant, exclusively online. Along with that, First Love Fellowship is establishing a homeschool service center. Finally, we would like to expand our Watchman Prayer services (right now, we are meeting on Tuesdays from 9-midnight for Night Watch). This will require our own, dedicated space for both the homeschool service center, prayer services, and events.
First Love Fellowship is no small vision. However, it can only be fulfilled with the support of people like you. Your contribution or monthly pledge will help us start the year off from a position of strength so that we can meet the new challenges ahead the way God intended us to go. This is your time to honor God by giving bountifully and consistently into this work. We cannot expand without the support of those God sends – and I am thankful that you are among those “sent ones” that believe in this ministry. We're reaching out to you because through your past giving you've already demonstrated the desire to be a blessing to the mission of First Love Fellowship. As we close this year, would you be willing to make a special year-end contribution of $50, $100, or $500 to continue this mission?
Thank you so much for your past support. I’m looking forward to your continued support.
